We would like to thank you for inquiring about volunteer positions at the Oklahoma Aquarium. We offer a variety of volunteer positions for interested people. We are excited about the high levels of interest in the Aquarium and rely heavily on our volunteer staff to assist in making all operations of the Aquarium successful!

Purpose of the Volunteer Program
To contribute to the success of the Oklahoma Aquarium by providing qualified assistance to paid Staff in daily operations and special projects.
General Program Requirements and Expectations
- Participate and successfully complete all requirements for our training course and demonstrate ability for the requested Volunteer position.
- Regular schedule of one 4-hour shift twice monthly (unless indicated by a particular position), as established with supervisor.
- 12 month commitment.
- Adhere to dress codes and all other rules established for all Oklahoma Aquarium Employees and other Staff.
- A $30 fee covers the cost of a uniform shirt.

The following are volunteer positions currently offered at the Oklahoma Aquarium. All positions require a basic training course.
Put your best fin forward representing the Oklahoma Aquarium! Agents assist with greeting guests, interacting with the public, public presentations, staffing information booths, doing information research, and many other fun and exciting activities.
Need high levels of energy, flexibility with your schedule. Aqua Agents are asked to commit to one 4-hour shift twice a month, and assist with special events as they arise.
SEASONAL AQUA AGENT S
Seasonal Agents will assist with greeting guests, interacting with the public, staffing information booths and many other fun and exciting activities during peak summer months. Need high levels of energy, flexibility with your schedule. Aqua Agents are asked to commit to one 4-hour shift twice a month during the months of June, July and August, and assist with special events as they arise.
DIETARY PREPARATION TEAM
If you have ever thought about working behind the scenes at the Oklahoma Aquarium this is a super way to get your feet wet. The Biology Department is looking for a few good men and women to work with our food preparation team to more efficiently meet our animal’s dietary needs. You will be working closely with the Curator of Fishes, and other biology staff. This position requires at least one shift per week and a firm commitment. Must be 18 years old and you can choose one or more shifts depending on your schedule.
Yours will be the face of the Aquarium! You will greet guests as they enter the door and supply food and information at our very popular feed stands. Need to be great with people! Visitor ambassadors are asked to commit to one 4-hour shift twice a month.
