Symphony by the Sea for Students Scholarship Application

We appreciate your interest in the Oklahoma Aquarium. The primary intent of the Fish Friends Scholarship Fund is to minimize financial barriers and enable schools and/or children with few or no resources to visit the Aquarium and benefit from our educational programs.

Scholarship funds are intended primarily for children, but requests for support of adult chaperones and/or transportation will be considered individually based on demonstrated hardship. We will acknowledge receipt of your application by phone or email within 2 weeks of submission. If you have not been contacted after 2 weeks, you are welcome to check on the status of your application by calling (918) 528-1508. Scholarships may not be used for trips already scheduled.

Support is contingent upon the availability of funds and the level of need. We cannot guarantee or predict the availability of funds. If funds are not available at the time your application is approved you will be placed on a waiting list. You will remain on the waiting list until funds become available or you alert us that you can no longer visit. If you are waitlisted, it is not necessary to re-submit until you have attended.

Scholarship recipients will be asked to participate in thanking specific donors when appropriate. Letters of support may be used to help raise scholarship funds in the future. Photos and other media coverage may be used at the discretion of the Oklahoma Aquarium to assist with funding procurement.

If you have additional questions after reviewing the application, please call the Education Department at (918) 528-1508 between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Only private, non-profit schools receiving funding for low income children may apply.
Please provide a cell phone number of the person submitting the reservation form and/or an alternate contact name and cell phone number so that we can reach someone if severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances force us to change or cancel your reservation.
