During “Shark Week” on the Discovery Channel, the Oklahoma Aquarium will offer special features related to our sharks including behind-the-scenes tours, presentations on feedings and even prizes.

 

All Week

  • Sign up to win a gift basket including the Discovery Channel Shark Week 20th Anniversary DVD Collection.
  • Have your picture taken with Shipley, our huggable shark mascot

Meet Our Baby Sharks
Visitors may sign up in the Great Hall for guided tours through our Aquatic Education and Research Center to see our baby sharks, recently caught by our staff off the coast of Galveston, Texas. Tours will be conducted at 11:30, 12:30, 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30. Tours are limited to 15 people, first come, first serve.

What Do Our Sharks Eat?
It’s always a thrill to see our bull, lemon and Atlantic Blacktip sharks in a feeding frenzy. Our biology staff and volunteers will explain the science behind serving up lunch. 1:30 in the Shark View Room.

Tours will be conducted at 11:30, 12:30, 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30. Tours are limited to 15 people, first come, first serve.

Sundown Shark Show
The Oklahoma Aquarium is open till 9:00 on Tuesdays year round, but during Shark Week, stay late and see amazing video of our sharks featured on national programs, the capture of new sharks and much more. The video will be presented in the Great Hall at 8:30.

Super Sharks
Learn fascinating facts about sharks and why they need to be protected. Our biology staff and volunteers will explain why sharks are important and about recent research. There will also be a limited number of shark teeth for kids. 1:30 in the Shark View Room.


Thursday 31
