2 – Seahorse Roundup – 1:00 – Even though they look like something out of a Sci-Fi movie seahorses are fish. Come learn about the Oklahoma Aquarium’s stable of ponies in our Marvels and Mysteries Gallery.
3 – Shell Shocked – 11:00 – Mollusks are magnificent! Everyone loves seashells, but do you know where they come from and what they’re all for? Learn about and enjoy some beautiful and rare shells. *Please check with our information desk for location.
9 – Aqua-Tots! – 11:00 – Theme: Dive Trip! – Bring your little ones out for a special Seaside Story Time. Join our educators for an interactive experience! Visit the Oklahoma Aquarium Coral Reef Café for lunch and order a Treasure Box. Aqua-Tots is for ages 1-5. There is a maximum of 35 children, first come, first served.
15 – Shark Teeth and Jaws – 1:00 – Sharks have teeth like razors! Do you feel lucky? Come slide on a chainmail glove and take a chance with a shark bite. *In or next to the Cox Shark View Room.
16 – Learn Your Stripes – 2:30 – Bet you didn’t know striper come from the ocean! Come learn how this fish landed in Oklahoma and watch its unusual feeding habits. *In Aquatic Oklahoma.
17 – Behind-the-Scenes Tour – 11:00 – Construction on the Sea Turtle Experience is underway, and the two sea turtles waiting to call the exhibit home are getting excited to meet everyone! You can get an early introduction to these magnificent creatures by participating on a Behind-the-Scenes Tour. You’ll not only walk through our holding facility and see the turtles, you’ll also get to journey above the Siegfried Families Shark Adventure to see the half-million gallon tank from a marine biologist’s perspective.
- Adults – $10, Youth – $8 plus general admission or membership. For safety reasons, tour not recommended for children under 5 years old.
- Behind-the-scenes tours will be sold at the main admission gate on a first come basis, and limited to 20 per tour. No advance reservations can be accepted.
- The tour includes a fair amount of walking and climbing stairs, so we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs or strollers in the working areas.
- Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver.
- Sturdy, closed toe shoes are recommended for both your safety and comfort.
17 – Sleep with the Sharks – Ever wonder what it would be like to snooze alongside our sharks? Find out at our next overnight Sleep with the Sharks event! Enjoy a dive show, scavenger hunt, flashlight tour and movie, then spend the night alongside our exhibits. Click here for more information and online registration.

24 – Beavers of the Ozark Stream – 3:00 – Have you ever thought our beavers were so cute you wanted to pet them? Come out and touch a beaver pelt and discover more about our furry friends that build their homes along streams and other banks. *Please check with our information desk for location.
25 – Skulls and Skins – 11:00 – We have a lot of interesting wild mammals in Oklahoma. Come try to identify several pelts and skulls from our Oklahoma wildlife. *Please check with our information desk for location.
27 – 31 – HallowMarine – 6:30- 9:00 – For these 5 evenings, the Aquarium is transformed into a spooky (but not too scary!), salty Halloween adventure. Bring your kids in their costumes to trick-or-treat among the tanks, play games, jump around on a huge pirate ship and wave hello to the diving mermaid and pirate in the Coral Reef. Plus, all the exhibits are open! $7 for children, $10 for adults.
