6 – Aqua-Tots! – 11:00 – Bring your little ones out for a special Seaside Story Time and join our educators for an interactive experience! Visit the Oklahoma Aquarium Coral Reef Café for lunch and order a Treasure Box. Aqua-Tots is for ages 1-5. There is a maximum of 35 children, first come, first served.
7 – Aquatic Oklahoma – 11:00 – Ever heard of Oklahoma caviar? Come learn more about this unique economic benefit and other little know facts about Oklahoma fish. . *Please check with our information desk for location.
8 – Seahorse Roundup – 1:00 – Even though they look like something out of a Sci-Fi movie seahorses are fish. Come learn about the Oklahoma Aquarium’s stable of ponies in our Marvels and Mysteries Gallery.
11 – Veterans Day – All veterans and active military service personnel presenting valid military ID receive complimentary admission. Thank you for your service to our country!
16 – Story Time- 10:30 – Join us for a story about rodents that are unusual sizes, then watch the largest rodent in North America, beavers, munch their lunch in the Hayes Family Ozark Stream. *Please check with our information desk for location.
17 – Homeschool Day – All Day – The Oklahoma Aquarium features quarterly Homeschool Days. These are days when homeschool students and teachers can enter at a discounted rate. There will also be information and activities in the Great Hall from 10:00 – 12:00.
18 – Story Time – 11:00 – Join us for Deep In the Swamp! See all the Oklahoma Aquarium animals that slither and swim in the swamp. . *Please check with our information desk for location.

20 – Learn Your Stripes – 2:30 – Bet you didn’t know striper come from the ocean! Come learn how this fish landed in Oklahoma and watch its unusual feeding habits. *In Aquatic Oklahoma.
21 – Jenks Kiwanis Christmas Parade – 10:00 – Join the Oklahoma Aquarium and other local sponsors for a float and fun filled parade!
21 – Behind-the-Scenes Tour – 11:00 – Construction on the Sea Turtle Experience is underway, and the two sea turtles waiting to call the exhibit home are getting excited to meet everyone! You can get an early introduction to these magnificent creatures by participating on a Behind-the-Scenes Tour. You’ll not only walk through our holding facility and see the turtles, you’ll also get to journey above the Siegfried Families Shark Adventure to see the half-million gallon tank from a marine biologist’s perspective.
- Adults – $10, Youth – $8 plus general admission or membership. For safety reasons, tour not recommended for children under 5 years old.
- Behind-the-scenes tours will be sold at the main admission gate on a first come basis, and limited to 20 per tour. No advance reservations can be accepted.
- The tour includes a fair amount of walking and climbing stairs, so we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs or strollers in the working areas.
- Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver.
- Sturdy, closed toe shoes are recommended for both your safety and comfort.
22 – Beavers of the Ozark Stream – 3:00 – Have you ever thought our beavers were so cute you wanted to pet them? Come out and touch a beaver pelt and discover more about our furry friends that build their homes along streams and other banks. *Please check with our information desk for location.
23 – Shark Station – 1:00 – Here at the Oklahoma Aquarium, taking care of our sharks is a precise science. Come see and even try on some of the supplies we use to care for these beautiful creatures. *In or next to the Cox Shark View Room.
25 – Thanksgiving Break Activity- 11:00 – We are going to have a turkey of a time making turkey pins today. Come on out and pin the feathers on a turkey. *Please check with our information desk for location.
26 – Thanksgiving Day – Yes, we are open today! If you have family in town or just need to walk off that turkey and pumpkin pie, come see us.
27, 28, 29 – Scuba Diving Santa Claus – 3:30 – Even Santa likes to go for a swim in the tropics, and the Coral Reef is as close as you get in Oklahoma to diving in the Caribbean. Watch Santa find out who’s naughty or nice among the fish in the 60,000 gallon saltwater tank, then get your camera ready to have your child pose for the most unique Santa picture ever, without getting wet!
